About Troop 97
Troop 97 is located in New City, New York, the county seat for Rockland County. We are an active troop that spends much of our time outdoors.
We are chartered by Germonds Presbyterian Church of New City.
Troop 97 believes in a program that:
- Emphasizes outdoor skills
- Provides opportunities for leadership development
- Provides an appreciation of the outdoors
- Promotes a life exemplifying the Scout Oath and Law.
We emphasize community service as an important way of demonstrating good citizenship. We are very proud of the tradition of excellence that has allowed a high percentage of our scouts to advance to the rank of Eagle, and we encourage every scout to work hard to achieve this lofty goal.
