Advancement Day

Advancement Day will focus on having fun while completing requirements for rank advancement. We will cover requirements in Navigation, Tools, Cooking, Knots and Lashings, among others.

Deadline to register is April 14th.

Scouts will have an opportunity to demonstrate the skills learned during the day by doing various activities like orienteering, building camp gadgets, etc. Don't forget to bring your book so we can get your requirements signed off!

For Scouts working towards Life rank, this present a great opportunity to complete requirement #6. In addition, our Troop Instructors and Guides should come ready to help and teach skills to other scouts.

We will be at Camp Bullowa for the day (no overnight camping) so pack accordingly (day pack, mask, water bottle, hand sanitizer, etc) and dress appropriately for the weather. Let us know if you have any questions.

Patrols will cook lunch and dinner and the Troop will provide paper plates, plastic utensils, and napkins. Scouts, reach out to Mr. DeVita if you need to complete cooking requirements for rank advancement or merit badge. We need to know who will be cooking for each patrol by Friday 4/9 , so make sure that you reach out to Mr. DeVita as soon as possible and also let your Patrol Leader know.

We will end up our day at camp with a campfire program.
