About the Event
This is our annual Feast on the Mountain backpacking trip. We will return to the West Mountain Shelter Point to enjoy spectacular views of NYC while we feast.
Saturday: The group will meet by the trailer at the Germonds parking lot at 8:00 AM (depart at 8:30 AM, sharp). After Troop gear, tents, & food are distributed, we will drive to the Anthony Wayne Seasonal Lot. Rides to the drop off location and pickups on Sunday MUST be arranged prior to the weekend. If not, please be prepared to drive your Scout.
Led by members of the PLC, we will hike to the West Mountain Shelter via the Blue Trail, and meet up with Red Trail, Orange Trail, and finally Blue Trail into the shelter. Once there we will set up camp, gather firewood for our feast, and enjoy what the cooks have prepared. The evening sky is a real treat,…
