Great Jack O'Lantern blaze #2

EVENT FLYER

Troop 97 has been invited to help light the lanterns used in the Great Jack O Lantern blaze! This is a fun event where Scouts will be able to get a behind the scenes glimpse into the blaze!

We have TWO opportunities to volunteer – either 09/29 OR 10/6; however, Scouts can ONLYregister for ONE date or the other, to give others the opportunity to experience the event.

Upon arrival at 4pm, volunteers will help to light the pumpkins and lanterns used in the blaze. This should take about 2 hours. Afterwards, there will be time to have dinner (there is a pizza place next door, or the Colonial diner is 1 mile away), before returning to experience the blaze, which opens to the public at 7pm.

Our tickets for the volunteers will allow us entry to the blaze at any time between 7pm and the last time slot at 9pm. It should take about 45 minutes to walk through the event.

THIS IS NOT A DROP OFF EVENT!!

We only have space for the FIRST 15 REGISTRANTS, which includes parents.

ONLY ONE parent per Scout, and be sure to register the Scout and the ONE parent.

Equipment   / Gear Required:

Each   Scout must bring along a butane lighter.

Dress   accordingly for the weather – the event is held RAIN or SHINE.

Long   hair should be tied back and no flowing/loose clothing.

Masks   are required in any indoor spaces (gift shop) as per Blaze website

Special   Notes / Handling

Park at Shoprite (460 S Riverside Ave, Croton on Hudson, NY 10520)

Each Scout will receive a special commemorative patch!
