Historical Trip- Fort Ticonderoga

EVENT FLYER

Troop 97 will be garrisoned at Fort Ticonderoga overnight! Upon arrival they will immediately be thrust into the life of a soldier at Ticonderoga in 1777.

They will set up camp and start learning the history of the fort.

All meals will be prepared as it was 1777 so no camp stoves or matches, scouts should be prepared to start a fire using only flint and steel. After cleanup the scouts will be divided into squads for an evening skirmish over the historic landscape before they settle in for the night.

Once back at the fort the scouts will help secure the fort. They will also take turns going “on watch”.

In the morning the scouts will be served a camp breakfast and pack up.

IMPORTANT   INFORMATION

This event is NOT a family event; only Scouts and registered/trained leaders are able to   attend the event and stay at Ft. Ticonderoga.  Scouts must arrange their own transportation   to and from Ft. Ticonderoga, and there are NO facilities at the Fort for parents.
