Holiday Backpacking '23

EVENT FLYER

This is our Winter Backpacking trip. We will be parking on Route 106 and hiking-in on the Yellow trail, past ORAK Ruin and the fire tower to Big Hill Shelter. There we will set up camp and go on a side hike back to the tower for amazing scenic views. Upon return to camp we will gather and prep firewood for dinner and enjoy what the cooks have prepared.

Saturday: The group will meet by the trailer at the Germonds parking lot at 7:00 AM, departure is at 7:30. We will do a gear check, and gather any equipment we need from the shed/trailer. All scouts must have a ride to and from the trailhead unless arrangements are made in advance.

Pack for an overnight, including good hiking boots, at least 3 liters of water to drink, , extra water for cooking/cleaning up, extra layers and socks for…
