Pumpkin Blaze

EVENT FLYER

Troops  97G & 97B have been invited to help light the lanterns used in the Great Jack-O-Lantern Blaze!  This is a fun event where scouts will be able to get a behind the scenes glimpse into the Blaze event!

Upon arrival, scout volunteers will help to light the lanterns used in the Blaze.  This should take about 1 hour.  Afterwards, there will be time to have dinner (there is a pizza place next door, or the Colonial Diner is 1 mile away), before returning to experience the blaze, which opens to the public at 7:30pm.   Tickets for the volunteers will allow entry to the Blaze any time between 7:30pm and the last time slot at 9:30pm.  It should take about 45 minutes to walk through the event.

We only have space for 30 VOLUNTEERS, (which includes parents pending availability).  Scouts will be given priority over adults.  Carpooling is encouraged  :)

There are currently extra tickets available for purchase on the Historic Hudson Valley website.

Equipment / Gear Required:

Each Scout must bring along a butane lighter.

Dress accordingly for the weather – the event is held RAIN or SHINE.

Long hair should be tied back and no flowing/loose clothing.

Money for dinner and souvenirs.

Special Notes / Handling

*If you arrange a carpool with other parents, please let the lead adult know who is dropping off your scout and who is picking up your scout.
