Hello Troop 97 families and coaches!!
Calling all runners, walkers and cheerers!! The Women's Distance Festival wants YOU to come "Chase the Change!" On Sunday, July 13th, the Women's Distance Festival celebrates the power of women, by hosting a women's only 5K and a kids fun run at Rockland Lake State Park! The run /walk raises funds for the Center for Safety and Change, which helps victims of domestic violence. So how can Troop members participate?
1. We're looking for Troop and Pack families to be part of a cheer station! Bring energy and noisemakers to encourage our runners and walkers on the course. You can make signs, bring music, and high five the runners and walkers as they pass. Please email Alison Meyer (ameyer@sufferncentral.org) if you can be part of the cheer station.
2. Come run or walk! Women and girls of any age can complete the 5K as a runner or walker. Link…
