A couple of months ago we received news that 8th grader Layla So, was diagnosed with a brian tumor while visiting the ER for headaches and gastrointestinal complaints. Since then, Layla has undergone brain surgery to remove the tumor and was later transferred to Blythedale Children's Hospital where she completed several rounds of radiation. One of Layla's former 6-th grade teachers created a t-shirt fundraiser to welcome Layla back, and also offer her family financial support during this extremely difficult time.
