ATTENTION SCOUTS!
Troop 97B has the opportunity to attend the US Naval Academy Jamboree, but we first MUST determine the interest from the Scouts in order to proceed. The academy has just released this information; we must act very quickly in order to reserve spots! Space is limited and we are not yet sure how many Scouts we'll be able to register for the event.

DATES: Friday, Feb 25th (2pm) thru Sunday, Feb 27th (12noon)
WHERE: US Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland
APPROXIMATE COST: $100 per Scout (this total includes event fees and registration, lodging, tolls to/from, and lunch at the Academy Sat 26th).
ELIGIBILITY: Scouts must be ages 14-18 to attend. All participants are required to show proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival. Masks will be worn at all times except when outside or actively eating.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Scouts will be carpooling with the ASM's that have volunteered to attend. Scouts should bring a bag meal for Friday dinner after arrival; the other meals (Breakfast Sat/Sun and Dinner Sat) will be purchased together as a group.
BRIEF EVENT DESCRIPTION: Scouts will have the opportunity to earn two merit badges, with one morning class and one afternoon class. In addition to MB courses, we will also be offering lessons in Leadership and on our Yard Patrol Squadron (Yard Patrol vessels are small Navy boats and will be taught in simulators and/or on the boats themselves, pending staffing). Merit Badges include: Aviation, Digital Technology, Robotics, Nuclear Science, Medicine, Engineering, Oceanography, Programming, Space Exploration, Chemistry, and Radio.
